Together with a former soccer teammate, he later opened 45th Street Deli, which served soups and sandwiches to the students and faculty of the UW and area residents. Throughout all of these ventures, Billy coached high school soccer, including the men's programs at Nathan Hale and Ballard. Billy was coaching and teaching at Shoreline Community College when a chance encounter with Dale Chihuly led to his current position at Chihuly Studio.

Billy credits Mazie for imparting in him two fundamental philosophies: first, there are no obstacles, just opportunities. Second, if you put the right team together, anything is possible. With these principles in mind, Billy O Wines brought together creative, passionate and talented people to make truly amazing wines that linger long after the last glass. Hand selected grapes, crushed by the talented winemaker, Eric Dunham of Dunham Cellars, one of the prized Northwest vintners, result in rich, complex, and highly enjoyable wines unlike any other. Finally, this is all for a great cause, as Billy O Wines is giving the net proceeds of sales of their wines to local Seattle charities, where they can make a difference to the organizations and communities that receive them.

Wine, art and a cause. Billy O Wines offers a wine experience like no other. With the right team in place, anything is indeed possible. Cheers, Mazie!
